LTPP Pavement Online provides an alternate method for the design of
rigid pavements. The design process is based upon
Guide for Design of Pavement Structures and 1998 Supplement and
recommendations from National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP)
Project 1-30. The process also caters for modifications based upon the results
from the verification study conducted using Long Term Pavement Performance
(LTPP) database.
This online system helps highway managers and engineers in implementing the
improved design procedures. The web application allows the engineers to modify
the rigid pavement design to the site-specific conditions, materials, traffic,
and design details. Hence achieving the more cost-effective and reliable
design.
